I began my journey to a healthier lifestyle in November of 2010. My jump start began with my participation in weight loss study which taught me a bit about nutrition, how to increase activity and most importantly keeping a journal. I lost 35 pounds by the time I met Josh in April of 2011. Since that time, I have learned a whole lot more from Josh, a man whose passion is fitness. Each and every workout has been varied, never dull and most certainly never boring. I have learned more about core exercises, strength, trx, kettlebells, and to never tell him anything exercise I don't like. He tailors and has the ability to modify each session to the person he is training. He has encouraged me to participate in other classes and vary my routine. He'll text to see how I'm doing, give suggestions on breaking plateaus and varying my food and calorie intake. With his encouragement and passion for training and fitness, I have currently lost 107 pounds, through diet and exercise and especially with his ability to challenge and motivate. His weekly newsletters and Did You Know? emails have been very informative and educational. The importance of cardio and strength training on a regular basis has allowed me to live a much healthier lifestyle and as a result, I can now do things with my great grandson that I couldn't do prior to training with Josh. Yes, I still keep a journal, count my calories and Josh always encourages me to continue on. Josh has more than helped me learn how to break 40 years of bad habits and develop a lot of good ones.

I have been doing personal training with Josh since March 2011, and regularly take his TRX and Kickfit classes. He helps me identify fitness goals, and tracks my ongoing progress in training sessions and group classes. He cares enough to explain the physiology and nutrition, both in person, and by text and email. When I hit a plateau, we do a fit eval and use hard numbers to define new goals. His two decade commitment to the fitness profession defines his passion for helping people. His extensive knowledge of competitive bodybuilding and fitness trends like bootcamp drills, Tabata training and Kettlebell workouts allow him to customize cardio and strength training routines. He applies fitness methodologies and technologies to sculpt bodies, and make each session and group class different, challenging and fun. Workouts with Josh have helped me build muscle and maintain a healthy weight.

Josh has been my personal trainer for over a year now. Two years prior to that time, I had been struggling to lose the weight I had gained after my pregnancy. I diligently did cardio exercising and enjoyed running, but no matter what (including trying two nationally recognized weight loss programs), those last ten pounds refused to come off.
A year later, I am 13 pounds lighter and reduced my body fat from 40% to 24%! I’m ecstatic that I can now fit into clothes that I hadn’t worn in over four years. It wasn’t easy, but I truly believe that had I not started training with Josh, I would still be where I was a year ago. You have to do your part, but Josh will be there to support you the whole way. He is hilarious and a little irreverent, but he also means business and will push you hard to get the results you want. Josh also works hard to make sure that my body is constantly challenged by new exercises to break through any plateaus that we encounter.

I used to be. My three-year-old daughter continues to grow and get heavier and yet, it is easier to carry her than it was a year ago. Josh and I are now working together to get my “college days” body back. I continue to look forward to training with him and know that he stands as my best chance to accomplish that goal.

Josh has helped me take my weight loss to new heights. During my first 10 months of healthier eating, I managed to lose 85 pounds. My only exercise was water aerobics.
