I've told this story last year but will repeat it for those of you who are new to training with me...
I love the Christmas Season. However, believe it or not, I used to be the BIGGEST GRINCH! I used to hate Christmas!!!! I would change the channel on the radio when Christmas music came on, change the TV if a Christmas show was on, would set up the Christmas tree for my family and then leave the house while they decorated and would grumble and complain about the money my wife would spend on Christmas gifts every year. One year I literally set the tree up Christmas eve and took it back down Christmas night... True story!!! Then one year about 8 or 9 years ago something clicked... I built a snowman, went sledding with my kids and their friends and found that the Christmas season isn't about trees, gifts or decorations. I realized it's about spending time with family, friends and taking a moment to reflect on the wonderful people such as you guys who have come into my life for a reason and a season. It's a time to reflect back on the past year and look at all the trials and tribulations we have come through and celebrate life's victories.
This year has once again been filled with many highs such as being awarded Healthtrax Trainer of the Year for a fourth consecutive year, being awarded the Healthtrax Promise Award and Heartsaver Hero Award. This year I have been blessed with amazing clients/friends. You have allowed me to work with you to help achieve your personal goals and build not only friendships but memories! It has been a time to celebrate victories in our lives as well as endure the hard times.
It feels more like a Florida Christmas this year (supposed to be around 60 degrees Christmas day!)... I would like to wish everyone a holiday season filled with warm, fond memories. My desire is that we all reconnect with family and friends who we have drifted from for one reason or another during the year and encourage and love one another! With all the chaos, fear and frustration in the world today, YOU have the ability to have a positive impact in the lives you touch daily this holiday season and beyond. Thank you for the positive impact you have all had in my life this year. Thank you for the life lessons I have learned and for the memories! This holiday season be kind to one another, "mend broken fences" and celebrate the victories we have all achieved together!
Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday season and new year!
